Chapter 14
Karen woke up later that night. She had went to get her late night coffee. She was dressed in her robe and looking around for a spoon.
Outside of the apartment.........
Leo had had a great time with April. He found her to be very entertaining and not like Karen. She was totally different and he liked that. Sometimes she would get close to him and hug him, he liked that. But he often at times thought about Karen and how she was gonna feel about him dating her little sister.
April had seen him hold back at times. She brought him close to her when he drifted away. She liked watching him laugh and smiling at her. She had to know more about him and her sister. It was the only way they could move on.
"Leo, do you like my sister?" April asked him.
"April, I like your sister. I have since I seen her at the gala." He wondered why she had asked.
"I mean are you in love with her?" April looked straight at him for an answer.
"Love?" "That's a big word, April. I am not sure I love her. I love to sleep with her and I love the way she is, but I don't think I love her." Leo wondered if he was actually telling her the truth.
"Tell me this, if you don't love her then why are you holding back?" April took his hand.
"I am not holding back, April." He got closer to her.
"Prove it!" She challenged him.
"All right." He smiled at her and pressed her up against the door.
April melted into Leo's arms. She felt for the first time like part of her was alive. His kiss was sinful, he moved his tongue into her mouth and she welcomed it. She would beg at his knees for mercy.
Karen heard the commotion outside her door and figured it must have been April. "Did you forget your keys again, April?"
When she opened the door, April and Leo fell to the floor. "Oh my god, I am so sorry." Karen apologized. She helped her sister up and Leo got up himself.
"I am so sorry, April. I thought you forgot your keys again." Karen got April's purse off the floor and handed it to her.
"It's all right, Sis. Honestly." April said.
"Well, ladies. I guess I should call it a night and get home." Leo said.
"Don't leave on my account, Leo. I will leave you two alone to say good night." Karen went into the kitchen and got her cup of coffee then headed off to bed.
"Do you really have to go, Leo?" April asked.
"Yeah. I got an early morning tomorrow. I will call you all right, maybe we can set up our next date." Leo kissed her.
"Great. Can't wait!." She kissed him back and he was off.
April started to yawn. In someway she was glad that Leo had left cause she was really tired. If Leo and her were gonna start dating she was gonna have to end her relationship with her current boyfriend. They weren't entirely separated. They had a big fight and she walked out of him. Tomorrow she would have to end it.
As she was heading to bed, Karen walked out again. "April, can we talk?" Karen asked her.
"Sure, Sis what's on your mind?" April sat down on the couch next to Karen.
"I just wanted to show you my Wedding Ring." Karen flaunted the ring to her sister.
"Wedding Ring? Your marrying Daniel?" April was in shock.
"Yeah he proposed to me later tonight." Karen smiled.
"Awesome Sis. Congratulations you deserve to be happy." April hugged her.
"Thanks, how was your date with Leo?" Karen was curious.
"It was great. He said, he would be calling me for our next date." April looked at her sister's reaction.
"That's great." She smiled at her.
"Karen, do you love Leo?" April had to ask.
"No, I don't love him April. You know I have loved Daniel since I seen him on television." Karen admitted the truth.
"So you don't have any emotional cling to him?" April had to make sure.
"April you don't have to worry about me and Leo our relationship is purely professional. Honestly." Karen knew where April was going with this.
"I just had to make sure, that's all." April felt relived.
"Great. I am going to bed now. I just wanted to share the news with you. Night April." Karen got up and headed to her door.
"Night, Sis." April yawned and headed to her room and went to bed.
