Chapter 5
Karen woke up and yawned it was a long day and when she saw Daniel snuggling next to her she kissed his neck and he stirred. She didn't want to wake him up just yet. So she got up and went to find something to eat. She didn't get too far to the kitchen when she heard someone at her door. She walked to her door and opened it.
"Got some sleep. I see." Leo stood there smiling down at her.
"Yeah I did, what do you want?" She hung on to the doorway and yawned again.
"I came to see my photographer. You still want to be my photographer right?" He took her chin.
"Leo, we need to talk." She pulled him in.
She went to the kitchen so Daniel would not hear them. She got herself a plate and got herself some leftovers she had cooked from the previous night. The night before she had no one now she had two men. One in her bed and the other standing before her.
Leo had been clueless as what to do so he watched her and waited to hear what she had to say to him. He sat down on a chair and waited.
When she put her food in the microwave she sat down with him. "Leo, last night was wonderful. Really." She started to say.
"Look, I heard this line before. I understand it was only a one night stand. But hear me out before you pull the dumping routine." He felt offended.
"We're not together. You persuded me. It's not the other way around." She couldn't believe he was talking about dumping they weren't even together.
"Fine, Karen. But give me a chance. What you and I had last night was more than wonderful." He took her hand.
"Leo, Daniel is here. He's in my room asleep. I told him everything about you and I." She pulled her hand away when she heard the bell on the microwave ring.
"Did you and he.......?" He needed to know if she was playing some sort of game with him.
"No. He wanted too and so did I. But because of you, I told him no." "I've been waiting a lifetime for an opportunity like this. I mean he is my idol. I want him, Leo." She told him the truth.
"Gee I had no idea, sorry I messed up your plan. But honey sleeping with a star is not really worth it. He's just a kid." He had to tell her something so she could see what she wanted wasn't possible.
"He's 19 and going on 20. So who cares if he is 3 years younger than me. Your older than me Leo. Seven years older." She added.
"Honey age is, but a number it makes no difference. Look if you really want him and he wants you I will leave you alone, but if your going to be my photographer than I am gonna need to see a portfolio of your work. You can come to the office and submit it here." He got her hand and put a card in it.
"Thank you, Leo. You are one in a million." She got up and hugged him.
He liked holding her it was something he was gonna miss. He let her go and proceeded out of her door. He felt crushed that he wouldn't be able to kiss her or make love to her again. But maybe it would change over time.
Daniel had secretly overheard everything they said, when he had heard voices that had woke him up. He was curious to see who she had as a visitor and when he saw Leo he had to hear what she had to say to him. He smiled to himself, she sure knew what she wanted.
He put on his t-shirt and went out to the kitchen to see her. She was eating when he saw her. "Have a good rest?"
"Yeah fantastic. Thank you for letting me stay." He sat down where Leo had sat.
"Your welcome. You hungry?" She got up.
"Yeah please anything is fine." He watched her serve him a plate.
He got up and went to her and touch her hand. He turned her around and kissed her. She didn't pull back. She took him into her arms and brought him closer.
When he let her go, she didn't know what to say. In some weird way she felt as though she was cheating on Leo and he wasn't even her idol. Could it be Leo had he touched her heart and she didn't even know it.
"Daniel, can we take this slow?" "I don't wanna make a mistake with you the way I did with Leo. It was too fast and if we were to be together now it would only complicate things." She touched his cheek.
"I understand. We'll do what we have to first. Date and the whole thing if you'll have me that is." He was afraid she was gonna let him go.
"Daniel are you kidding who would not want you. Every girl in America and the U.K. wants you. At least that is the way I feel otherwise Harry Potter would not be so popular. Your a Hottie." She smiled.
"I'm just an ordinary guy, Karen." He was impressed she said that about him.
"No your not. So you got any movie projects you signed onto recently?" She turned around and got his plate and took it out of the microwave.
They walked to the table as she set the plate. He took his seat and continued to talk to her. "Well, there is a movie I am considering, but I haven't said yes to it yet."
"What's the name of it?" She asked.
"Not sure. I mean I only read part of it. I think it was called Blink or something." He ate the food on his plate while he talked to her.
"Well it's kinda early do you have something to do today?" She finished her plate and put it in the sink.
"Yeah a shower and some new clothes." He chuckled.
"Yeah I need one too. I think I am gonna stay home, watch a movie, and kick it." She sat back down at her chair.
"Sounds good." He finished his plate and got up and put it in the sink.
Chills ran up her spine as she sat down on the couch and he sat by her. "So you never answered my question." He said.
"What question?" She looked over at him.
"The question I asked you, will you have me?" He looked nervous.
She didn't know quite how to answer him it was a question she had been waiting long to hear. She put her hand to her lips and then she leaned forward and kissed him. He deepened it almost instantly.
"I guess that is a yes." He smiled.
"You bet your ass, Radcliffe." She felt happy and turned around to lay on his lap.
"So you taking that movie?" She asked him and looked up at him.
"Yeah I guess I am." He held her looking down.
"Listen, I am gonna shower. I feel icky." She got up.
"All right. I gotta go, get some new clothes." He knew he had to go, but he liked her a lot, and leaned closer to her.
She felt him closing in on her, she had liked the fact that he had the nerve now to touch her cause the next thing she knew was that she was beneath him and his loving weight. When it began to be too much for her. She pulled away.
"Daniel, I want this I really do, but I want to do this right not just some cheap moment. When we get together, I want to surprise you." She explained to him.
"I'm sorry, I understand. It's just something about you makes me feel happy." For the first time in his life he could actually say that truthfully.
"I feel the same listen, why don't you bring your belongings here and stay until we've settled on what your gonna do." She wanted to be closer to him, not be apart from him.
"I couldn't do that Karen, I don't want to intrude." He loved that she had asked him to stay with her.
"No please, I want you too. Your my boyfriend now and I want to spend time with you as much as I can." She went to him and put her arms around him. She kissed him loving him with her mouth.
He pulled away for a second, "After that how can I refuse." He smiled.
"Oh, ummm. Wait here." She went to her room.
She looked where she kept her spare keys and when she found them she put them in her pocket. When she returned he was standing right where she had left him. She took the keys out of her pocket.
"Your gonna need these." She handed him the keys.
"Karen, I don't know what to say." He looked at her.
"Say yes you'll spend tonight with me." She looked up at him.
"Yes." He smiled and held her close kissing her.
Before he left she handed him her car keys too so he could get to his hotel. She didn't even mind him using her car. She wanted to be the best girlfriend she could to him.
